Doctors discuss coordination, best practice at NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain

NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain, the JCI-accredited tertiary care multispecialty hospital, organised a one-day meeting for medical practitioners in Al Ain. The event, which took place earlier this week, is part of an initiative by parent group NMC Healthcare to improve coordination amongst physicians in the UAE, and to share best practices in patient care.
A live session on Interventional Cardiology was conducted by Dr. Meeraji Rao, Head of Department, Cardiology, and Dr Austin Mohan, cardiologist, with support from Dr. Hanan Ebeid Abdou Abed, MBBCH, MS, anaesthesiologist at the state-of-the-art catheter laboratory of NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain. Another session was conducted by Dr. Pradeep Chand Nair, cardio-thoracic surgeon, on the latest advances in cardiac surgery, with video recordings of surgeries conducted by Dr Nair at NMC Specialty Hospital Al Ain.
Physicians from various medical centres, policlinics and hospitals in Al Ain participated in the programme and exchanged views on improving physician cooperation and patient care.
