Continuing with its endeavour to provide compassionate and quality healthcare, NMC Specialty Hospital, the JCI accredited multispecialty tertiary care hospital has organized a Blood Donation Drive in collaboration with the Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Blood Bank Abu Dhabi to oversee the donation and collection process.

The five day drive commenced on February  23  and runs till March 6, 2011. The ongoing initiatives is to generate awareness amongst our staff and to help prevent blood shortage issues in the country by organizing a blood donation drive that will take place across its unit in the UAE. The drive is part of its continuous efforts to address key social, health, environmental and community issues in the UAE.

I am myself a strong advocate of giving back to the society, specially blood donation, as its simple, safe, painless and quick, yet the benefits it yields are enormous” said Mr. B. R. Shetty, CEO & MD, NMC Group. We are doing this yearly and the response we get every time is amazing and so from this year onwards we are going to extend it as an bi annual event. Our staff  are always eager to participate, and we hope to create more awareness and encourage more people to donate blood through such initiatives.
