Dr. Gaurav earned his MBBS from Banaras Hindu University.  Dr. Prakash has done his ophthalmic residency (MD) and cornea & refractive surgery training from the prestigious Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He has over 10 years of experience including more than 7 years of specialized practice in cataract, refractive surgery and corneal procedures. 

 

His last assignment was in Chennai, as a Consultant in Charge, Cornea and Refractive Surgery.

 

 

Dr. Prakash performs and teaches state of the art procedures such as intralase (blade free lasik), sub bowman keratomelusis, wavefront guided lasik, advanced surface ablation and phacoemulsification.  He is experienced in performing corneal transplants including customized component corneal procedures. He is also an avid academician-scientist and has more than 60 indexed international publications, multiple book chapters and international meeting presentations. He is also peer reviewer for nine reputed ophthalmology journals and is an instructor and invited faculty at various international conferences.

 

Dr Prakash’s work on 90 micron flap femtosecond lasik, advanced excimer laser procedures, and role of wavefront optics on visual development has been internationally recognized.
