Care at home
Salon treatments complemented with a regular routine of
caring for your skin at home is essential to maintain a youthful complexion.
It is important to know your skin type - normal, oily, dry or combination - and the care
it needs so that appropriate skin care products are used.
Normal skin:
This skin type is neither too oily nor dry. It is likely to feel a little oily in the nose
area by the end of the day. Dehydration and a dull appearance are primary concerns.
Oily Skin:
In this kind of skin, the sebaceous (oil producing) glands are overactive and the sebum
gives a greasy shine to the skin. If not properly cared for, it can break out into
blackheads and pimples.
Dry Skin:
The skin lacks both sebum and moisture. It feels tight and dehydrated, looks dull, patchy
and has tendency towards flaking and fine lines.
Combination skin:
This can be either a combination dry skin or a combination oily skin. In the former, the
T-zone (forehead, nose and chin) feels normal. The cheeks and the rest of the face feel
dry and patchy. The combination oily skin has normal cheek and eye area, but is oily
through the T-zone.
Sensitive skin:
This is a condition where the skin can be any type but is extremely sensitive to stress
and external influences. It is prone to reactions and sometimes looks red and blotchy.
The four steps in your daily skin care routine should be cleansing, toning, moisturizing,
and protecting.
Regular use of Shahnaz Herbals definitely improves your complexion and leaves it healthy
and glowing. The Beauty Advisor at the salon will help you choose the appropriate product.
